DIY Mod Floral Baby Romper

My favorite thing to dress my babies in are bodysuits and rompers. I love the ease of a one piece for dressing and changing diapers. And I love baby legs. I love summer babies because you can enjoy all their baby skin and rolls. I just want to eat them up.
I wasn't planning on joining in KCW this week, but last minute I decided to make this romper. I had one fat quarter of this mod floral fabric and wanted to put it to good use. I ordered it with the idea to make something for my baby. I love the colors and the mod feeling. It's such a cool print!

I used the free romper pattern by Oh Mother Mine DIY. It's in another language so I struggled. I forgot to add seam allowance so the whole time I was sewing it, I was worried it would be too small! I made a size 3-6 mos and my baby is 5 mos old. I'd say it's a little on the big side, so it'll get worn until it's too cold for a romper. It's not a written tutorial; it's a video tutorial which helped me figure out how to make it even though I couldn't understand anything being said. I also added little gathered sleeves to make it look more like a romper and less like overalls.

  1. So cute! That pattern on the fabric is so perfect for a romper. And I can't believe you squeezed it all out of a fat quarter. Way to go!
