I’m choosing easy for a lot of things right now. I made some really SIMPLE Valentine’s shirts for the kids this year. They were so simple I even made two for Claire, and Henry helped with one! And I have a free bear printable that you can use for your own designs! If you’d like to see the tutorials check out these 4 quick and easy Valentine’s day shirts. (If you’re here for the free furry bear printable, go to the end of the post.)
For Henry I appliqued a furry bear and a faux leather sign that says “Wild One.” He loves this shirt and loves that it’s furry. I love that he can wear it even past Valentines.
For Claire I ironed on heart rhinestones for one shirt, super easy. For her other shirt I used some double sided interfacing and applied it to some cut ribbons. I let Henry stick the ribbons on however he wanted and trimmed them into a heart shape. He LOVED making a shirt for Claire. I always forget that my kids love being involved in my creative processes.
For simple Valentine’s decor I cut a bunch of felt hearts and basted them together. I hung them over our gallery wall. I also cut some interfaced quilting fabric into letters that say “Love is Sweet” and sewed them onto a ribbon. They are hanging under our Christmas cards which we still have hanging up.
Here’s a close up of the furry bear shirt, so you can make one too!
