Kids Shared Room Update

I have put a lot of effort into my kids' room these past couple of weeks and feel like I'm finally about finished. I just added a couple of details and moved things around. Now it makes me happy every time I walk in their room. (We've had cloudy days most of the week so forgive my less than steller pictures.) I moved the owl quilt and rug to the extra room because it didn't match the decor.  I finished Henry's quilt I've been working on (more on that later) and made Henry a bedskirt that doesn't move! Learn how to make a simple bedskirt that doesn't move! I really love the look of bedskirts and loved the finished look it gives to beds.
I got the sweet individual pictures that represent the kids from Minted. I love them so much. They are just perfect. Superhero Henry and the dancing circus horse Claire. I put them up pretty high on the wall so they can't touch them while jumping on their beds. Or throwing their stuffed animals around.
I added two rows of some tassel fringe I had in my stash to the top of the curtains. The curtain was originally a tablecloth so the fringe is the perfect touch. I got the adorable elephant clock and hung it up to the right of Claire's bed behind the door. The curtain is almost always untied because it keeps the room dark for sleeping. Their room is very simple, but it just for sleeping. It has come together bit by bit, and it makes me happy.

  1. Simple but perfect for kids who play in their room and share a room. I love that elephant clock. Need to show my hubby a picture of that, see if he will make me one. :)

  2. I just went and read the instructions on how to do the bed skirt. Brilliant! So smart. Thanks for sharing!
