Sewing and Blogging

I've decided to make a big change here on my blog. I've decided to stop writing sewing tips and tutorials. It takes up too much of my time. Also, using illustrator is the future of blogging, and I don't plan on learning it anytime soon. I didn't start blogging because I want to learn illustrator or because I want to spend tons of time on the computer. I started blogging because I liked to sew.
From now on I will post about finished projects, and I will be completely honest about the cost, the pattern, the fabric and how much I used, and how long it took. I hope you stick around through this change!

  1. I'm curious what you mean about illustrator - I think of that as mainly for pattern designers! But I love reading about finished projects :)

    1. I've just been noticing a lot of sewing blogs "illustrate" their tutorials instead of taking pictures of each step lately. I'm glad you'll stick around!

    1. Ya, blogging is just taking up too much of my sewing and enjoying my family time. And I've just been noticing a lot of sewing blogs "illustrate" their tutorials instead of taking pictures of each step lately, and I don't want to get into that.

  8. I think it's great! You run the blog, not the other way around. I always think I should do more on mine but then it's just not feasible with my life. I love to see what people make and how it worked out.

  12. I love when you show the design and inspiration for your wardrobes for your kids. It helps me! I say do what works for you. I will be stopping by, regardless. I love to see your finished projects, what you have upcycled. It gives me ideas on things I have lying around the house that could use new life.
