Floral and Gingham Baby Sunhat

A couple of weeks ago we went on vacation to a city where summer had already hit. I realized I didn't have a sunhat for Claire so I whipped this one up right before we left. It was perfect for the trip and will be perfect for this summer. I love the mix of floral and gingham. It's perfect for baby girls.
See the pattern, fabric, time, and cost breakdown after the jump!

Pattern: Baby Sunhat Pattern with Ruffles and Ties Cost: Free
Pros: It's free, a simple and quick make with good instructions, no interfacing, and a works for couple head different sizes.
Cons: I had to play with the seam allowances a little bit to get the brim to line up with the cap.
Fabric: Pink gingham aproximately two fat quarters, $1; blue floral one fat quarter, won
Time: 1.5 hours
Total Cost: $1

Here's us enjoying the hot sun!

  1. Thanks for sharing this pattern. My daughter has a few sun hats but apparently all of them only match the red clothes...lol... I've been planning to get her a new one done, but just doesn't seem to put my hands and attention to it.
