Billy Bright Eyes Snappy Tee Review

Today I get to be part of Muse of the Morning's Pattern Tour! I chose to make the Billy Bright Eyes Snappy Tee pattern because it's a great versatile and basic pattern, but it has a great snap shoulder detail. I made each one unique for each kid. On Henry's I did some diagonal piecing on the front and the back using two different striped knit fabric and alternated the fabric on the sleeves. On Claire's I added a scalloped hot pink band around the neckline and paired it with some striped knit fabric.
One of my favorite things about this pattern is that it goes down to 3 mos! Most kid's patterns don't go below 12 mos which is really disappointing! It was so fun to use such a basic pattern for both a toddler and a baby! (Did you know I used this pattern for Henry when he was about a year old? The sizes have since been extended!)
I used the 3 mos size for Claire which is a perfect fit; she's going to grow out of it too quickly!
I used the 2T size for Henry which is a perfect fit for him too. I also love that this pattern runs skinny, so it fits Henry well without alterations!
Claire was pretty easy to get pictures of because she can't move much. I struggled with Henry, but this is the best I got showing the diagonal color-blocking. It looks really cool!
I had both kids corralled in the crib, and Henry got bored quickly so I told him to read a book to Claire. I was able to capture most of it on video!
There is a great giveaway open on her blog so don't forget to enter! Also, use the coupon BLOGTOUR30 to get 30% off of all patterns sold through Muse of the Morning's shop which can be used May 1 - May 17.

  1. Oh Henry's so cute reading for her. I love both shirts. I too did the 2T for my daughter and have started a long sleeved 6M for the baby boy, but haven't finished it yet =( oooppppsssss... Gotta get my hands on it soon. I also picked this pattern because it starts at 3m... and it's so versatile, right?
