Summer Dress Shirts

I was able to test the Mulberry Tunic Pattern which was designed by Olga from Kid Approved for Willow & Co. The Willow & Co Pattern line will be released next week on April 22nd. Let me just say, I loved sewing up this pattern. There are lots of variations and fun details. I made two and added collars to them so these will be Henry's summer dress shirts.
The first one I made one I used some pretty blue gingham. It turned out so cute, and he looks so dapper! I also made some bright yellow shorts and a chambray bow tie for this adorable outfit.
I love this little outfit, and he will probably wear it to his daddy's graduation in a couple of weeks. I'll probably make some suspenders to help keep his shirt tucked in!
These yellow shorts are so fun! I used Titchy Threads free 2T Small Fry Skinny jeans pattern.
I had a really hard time getting him to sit still for pictures; he wanted to leave so he could play with this girly.
I loved the tunic so much that I made another one. This one I used a pretty chambray that was on sale at Joann's. This shirt will be apart of Henry's Easter outfit which I'll show you tomorrow!
I had fun playing with both sides of the chambray fabric for a subtle colorblocked look.
And he's off!

  1. They look so cute! I love little collared shirts on little boys. I just finished sewing up a couple for my boys. They are so easy and quick that I already plan to make more for this summer. I used a two vintage 1940s patterns, but really like the looks of this tunic pattern and may have to try it out, too. Thanks for sharing!
