Feathers Flights // Sewing Blog: KCW Wrap-Up

KCW Wrap-Up

I didn't finish everything on my list, but I did finish a lot. I've only got a couple of items left to finish Henry's part of the collection: a tie (for Easter), a shirt with a tutorial, a shirt, a pair of shorts, and a swimsuit. Here are some more items I've finished.
A chambray bow tie and a tie made from daddy's tie
A vest to match some pants (I'll show you tomorrow). It still needs buttons and to have the buttonholes cut open.
A striped zip-up jacket. I downsized a jacket I had it my stash. It's extra warm because it's lined with faux fur!
I also got some pictures of Henry in his ombre striped shirt and men's shirt shorts. They are almost knickerbocker length.
I love the pockets and front button placket detail.
The button tab on the bottom is a nice touch too.
This face kills me!

  1. Everything came out great! Not that I need anymore projects but I'm thinking that I really need to make shorts like that for my son. ;)

  2. What pattern did you use for the vest? Was it really hard? I want to make my son a vest to match his sisters easter dresses, but I am feeling a little lazy.
    His vest looks so cute!
