Baby Girl Clothes

Claire has been wearing hand-me-down girl clothes and Henry's baby clothes. The girl clothes are adorable, but they are all pink. I've had a hard time putting outfits together because she can't wear pink on top and pink on bottom. To make dressing more fun, I made a couple of simple pieces.
I made two pants using an old skirt, yellow chevron, and an old shirt, green butterflies. I used Rae's free Just Hatched leggings pattern. I also used her free tights pattern to make some teal tights. (I love free patterns!) Then I made a simple teal skirt. Each piece is a fun color that looks good with pink!
Henry didn't want to be left out of the photographing so I got a nice picture of his puppy and his bare legs.

  1. So cute! I had made some pants like this for the boys when they were tiny. Dang babies grow so stinking fast it just doesn't warrant buying ready made garments. (Especially when you can recycle garments that are destined for the trash.)

  5. I couldn't believe all the pink when I had my daughter nearly six years ago. It drove me insane, so I eventually found some cute basics in black or blue in the boys clothes. If only I had been sewing back then!

  7. I love the green ones! I agree it's hard dressing girls sometimes without making it look like a pink bomb went of lol
