Giraffe Lovey Pattern Review

I was excited to review Emily's Giraffe Lovey Pattern from Tangible Pursuits because I don't have very much experience in sewing blankets or toys. The pattern was easy to follow and quick to make, about one naptime. I loved that the whole pattern fit on one page, so I only had to print one page! I was impressed with how easy it was to make a nice toy.
I didn't have any giraffe print fabric, so I cut up fleece fabric I had in my stash. Then when I was looking for blanket fabric, I found the pretty dark yellow fleece which I wish I would've used for the head, but it does have a cool graphic look now. I backed the blanket with some pretty brown polka dot fabric.
As I was making the lovey, I was thinking about either keeping it for my baby girl or giving it as a gift. Once Henry saw it though, it was all over. He named it "Baby Deer" and wouldn't let go of it. He has claimed it as is own now which makes me happy that it is so loved. Henry loves giving it hugs and kisses and letting it sleep.

  1. Thanks so much, Heather! I love the cool graphic print on the head and I am glad that Henry likes it so much!

  2. Aww! You'd better make the baby girl a pink one. Maybe he'd let her have it?! Glad he loves it!!
