With this second pregnancy I have been extremely sick. I was so sick that I rarely wanted to get dressed in regular clothes. I wanted something comfortable, cute, and stretchy for growing. I just traced some leggings I already own, but Miranda has an awesome tutorial about drafting and sewing your own leggings.
The leggings are actually made with swimsuit fabric. I found this fabric about a year ago on sale at Joann's and got some to make a circle skirt for my sister. A couple of weeks later I couldn't stop thinking about the gorgeous print, so I went back and luckily it was still there on sale. I got a yard for myself for a future swimsuit, but used it for these leggings instead. I love them!
The shirt is a XL maternity shirt that I cut and sewed to my size. I love the glamour of it and it's actually the perfect tunic length to match with these leggings. I did add a tiny cuff to the hems to give a little extra length. I have long legs that need lots of extra length. These leggings make (and made me happy when I sick) me so happy that I jump for joy.
And because my blog is also focused on my family, here are the awesome outtakes with Henry. He is such a clown. He loves doing anything to make us laugh and nonchalantly taking the center of attention.
