A couple of weeks ago Laura from Craftstorming asked me to test her Fancy Pants Leggings pattern. I was ecstatic! I’ve been really wanting to make Henry some leggings, but didn’t want to deal with making or buying a pattern. I had so much fun making these leggings for Henry and love both pairs I made! The pattern is great! Laura makes everything really easy to understand and sew. It comes in a large range of sizes, has lots of variations, and is great for boys and girls! You can purchase them at Titchy Threads. I totally recommend this to any beginner or expert seamstress!

The first pair I made I used a lime polo shirt. I cut up the pattern and then printed it with my walrus stamp. (The funny thing is that the last time I used the walrus stamp, I used it on yellow green fabric!) I stamped the walruses really close on the legs and then on the back bum piece, I stamped one in the middle. I used gray ribbing for the waistband and a regular hem.

For the second pair, I used some leftover knit chevron fabric paired with some really dark gray knit for the bum, leg cuffs, and triangle knee pads. I used gray elastic for the waistband.

I love that I can see my baby’s skinny baby legs! (he’s never had chubby rolls, but I love him just the way he is!)
