You Flew: A Sewing Linkup - 21

I gave Henry a haircut over the weekend. I tried just trimming the back and above the ears, but he wiggled too much and hated the whole thing! I decided to just do a 1" buzz to remedy. Henry was so mad that I could only do half. Then he napped, and I finished it afterwards. It makes him look so much older! (I don't have any pictures and he was sleeping when I wrote this or I'd show you!)

The link with the most hits was the cardigan refashion by Green Issues by Agy.
The Life of a Compulsive Crafter shows part of her daughter's Spring wardrobe. She made this with vintage thrifted fabric!
This Wedding Blazer by Craftstorming is just perfection. I just love boy's clothes!
Look at this super cute Mini Mushrooms Dress by Creative Notions. Those are not polka dots; they are mushrooms!

  1. I'm with you on the hair cut issues. I could get away with cutting my eldest's as his hair is quite thick - we just use the clippers now and it suits him but I can't bring myself to use them for my youngest. His hair is so fine (like Henry's I think) so I haven't cut it myself but it really needs doing.

Thanks for featuring my blazer :)

  2. Hi Heather, tx for the party!
I love your last dress (gold and black), I think I'll sew soon something similar... I hope you don't mind :)

  3. Thanks for hosting the link party, and thanks for the shout out. :)

  4. Wish you lived closer. I went to school to do hair, almost 10 years ago. My little guy loves getting his hair cut. And I would love to teach you a few basic things. :) Maybe a hair cut lesson for a sewing with knits lesson swap? :)

  5. I totally hear you! It's taken me close to 3 years to successfully do Vince's hair. And we use the clippers to shave most of it... Aha

  6. thanks so much for the feature! Hope you had a great Easter :-)
