Aztec Henley and Red Shorts: Boys 2013 Spring/Summer Line

I at least one outfit to be really trendy for the boys collection, so I decided to use up the rest of my aztec fabric. I needed to use it before aztec goes out of style!
It looks very graphic and masculine. I decided to make a henley to add interest to a basic tee shirt. I added red snaps and there is red facing on the placket.
I made red basic shorts with lots of white topstitching. I added some stitching and marker lines to the back pockets to look like foxes. I can see it, and I love it even if nobody else can tell what it is! The shorts are a little bit shorter than I wanted, but it almost makes them cuter for a little boy.
He always rides this little bike toy when we're outside while poking his tongue out. Because a child left the toy out in our courtyard I don't feel bad about letting Henry use it.

  1. Love those shorts. They are so cute. And something like those shorts are totally girl and boy friendly.
My kids love those wiggle cars. I have even climbed on and had fun on one.

  2. I love this outfit! I feel like he would look adorable in a paper sack too though...those eyes!

  3. This is a great outfit! I love the pockets...so creative! My goodness, Henry is growing fast! :)

  4. I love what you did!! I know what you mean about using it before it goes outta style! I have some Aztec denim that I need to use up...I don't want to sit on it for the next decade or more!

  5. I love the fox on the pockets...so cool!

  6. I love this Aztec print. It's so different from any other Aztec pattern fabric I've seen.
