The Woodcutter's Baby for PR&P

I'm so glad this weeks theme for Project Run and Play was "man's button up shirt." I have wanted to make Henry a flannel coverall from a button up shirt since I made him the man's shirt romper. This is the same basic idea, but it's for winter instead of summer.
I kept the sleeve cuffs, the front button placket, and the front pocket. I drafted my own pattern and it has a yoke and collar like an original man's button up shirt. The inseam opens with snaps and the leg hem is an elastic casing. I used a flannel shirt I thrifted. (Henry is wearing an outfit underneath to keep him warm and to help fill out the coverall.)
I crocheted the fox hat for him. I'm not a good crocheter and this hat was a steep learning curve for me. I redid the middle area about seven times. I'm so happy I kept up with it though because it turned out so cute. I looked multiple free hat patterns and kind of made it up. I also made up the fox features. I will not be doing another big crochet project like this anytime soon!
If I get lots and lots of people interested in the coverall, I'll work on the pattern and tutorial. This week just got away from me, so I didn't get around to it. Or you could use the shirt romper pattern and tutorial and just lengthen the sleeves and legs.
When we went outside for the photoshoot, we found six deer right outside our apartment! We have LOTS of snow right now so there are some deer living in a field near our complex. They were digging for food and let Henry watch them. Henry kept pointing and barking at them. The deer with the antlers kept walking towards Henry. Luckily, there was too much snow for Henry to walk through to get too close to them.

  2. The deer were probably wondering why the fox was barking.
