Today is Henry's first birthday! I can't believe it's been a whole year, but it's been a whirlwind of happiness and painful learning. I'm grateful that he's apart of our family and that I've been able to fall in love with making boy clothing.
About two weeks ago a little speck of something got behind my point-and-shoot camera's lens. I tried everything to get it out and my brother even took some of it apart to see if he could get to it. Nothing worked. That is why there haven't been any pictures of what I've been working on lately. (I even have some great ideas for tutorials, but I can't start them until I have a good camera.) My husband and I talked it over, and we decided to take the plunge and get our first SLR camera. We feel it's an investment for me and this blog and taking pictures of our kid(s). Well I ordered it and have been happily anticipating it's arrival. It was scheduled to arrive between last Thursday and yesterday. And it didn't show up. I was devastated. When I tracked it online, I found out it's in New York. Really?! Now I realize I have to use our back up point-and-shoot for his first birthday. Of all the times I order something online, the most important thing has to go to the wrong place.
Since I can't show you what I've been working on, I'll just let you see Henry's growth over the past year. I took a picture every week on the same blanket. (I don't recommend it to anyone. It's hard to remember, and it's a lot of work. I will definitely do something else for the next kid.) Enjoy!
