Feathers Flights // Sewing Blog: Random Decorations

Random Decorations

I have finished a couple random quick decorations. This lemon wreath will be my summer wreath. I just took some fake plastic lemons and hot glued them to one part of an embroidery hoop.
One day I'm planning on having a lemon themed kitchen, so until then this wreath will brighten up my kitchen in the winter months.
I found this starburst twig wreath by The Painted Hive and love it so I made my own. I spray painted mine blue and glued on a mirror. Mine is a decoration for inside and not a wreath. I'm still deciding if I like it hung with a ribbon or not.
I also love these West Elm Knock-off Spheres Tutorial by Hill Country Homebody. She shows some eacy tips, and there's no glue involved!
Mine came out "purply" but it works. (I only just now noticed, that I have a bird next to my sphere too. Wow.)
And a sneak peak for the next post, notice the cute yellow forks and spoons on the cabinet.
