Crocheting

I love sewing with a sewing machine. I like it because I can see my results fast. But when it comes to hand-sewing, I'm not patient enough. Well I came across this Football Helmet Beanie Pattern by Laura Betty, and thought it was so adorable.
I bought it, and I'm going to make a BYU football helmet. Now I need to learn how to crochet. I did crochet a scarf in high school, but it took me a long time and I've since forgotten. Any tips on crocheting?
Can you just imagine this face in one of those beanies?

  2. Do a search on you tube...you'd be surprised how much info you can find. And you get to actually see the steps one at a time.

  3. There are some really great tutorials out there! I taught myself to crochet from an old 60's book that belonged to my gran. It's really easy,So you will get it in no time!

  4. I've done a little crocheting, but I've never done anything more than a blanket or scarf. My tip (and it may just be my weirdo body) but don't hold the knitting up too high...after a few hours, your hands start to go all tingly. lol
