4th of July Weekend

Sorry I haven't been blogging lately. We had a busy, fun, holiday weekend! On Saturday I spent the day helping my sister make a swimsuit. She's not finished yet, but she's using zebra print and gorgeous purple fabric.
We had lots of fun working on the pattern and cutting out the fabric.
Saturday night my husband and I hung out with some friends at the city festival and went to watch the grand fireworks. We ate yummy fruit slushies and had a big bag of popcorn for the firework show.
Sunday we went to church and then spent some time with friends and family.
Monday early morning we went with some friends to see the annual hot air balloon fest. We got to see the hot air balloons deflated and then filled with air and raised up. It's a pretty cool experience to see all these big balloons growing up. The best part? There was a Darth Vador hot air balloon! It was really cool. Unfortunately, a wind blew up and all the balloons had to come to down for safety.
While we were standing watching the balloons, some sweet girls came up and told me they love my blog. I was so surprised/flattered I was speechless. I asked them their names. Then they said that it's actually my sister over there who is a big fan. I looked over and saw a cute girl with a fancy camera. I was so amazed that someone recognized me I didn't know what to do. After telling my husband and friends, I decided to go talk to them again, but by then they were gone. Shame on me for not thinking quicker. It was a very cool experience though. So follower out there, you know who you are, it was nice to see you and I hope I get to actually meet you! Really guys, if you see me I would love to talk to you and get to know you!

Then we spent lots of with family having lunch and dinner. It was great! I made some freedom jello for dinner.
The food was delicious!
Maybe my favorite thing about the 4th of July is spending time with people and eating good food. It doesn't get much better than that!
