Feathers Flights // Sewing Blog: Corduroy Bow Pillow

Corduroy Bow Pillow

I decided to make another pillow for my bed. I can never have enough pillows, and you don't need to sit on your bed so there's always more room, right? I used this bow pillow tutorial. I like the depth that the dark blues add to the arrangement.
Interested in my headboard? It's easy and doesn't damage walls!
Bows are a fun embellishment and easier than ruffles or gathers, in my opinion. Except corduroy is not an easy fabric to make a bow from. It doesn't stretch or slide easily. But I'm happy with how it turned out even if I was so made at myself for choosing corduroy while I was making the bow.
The back is pieced together corduroy. I like the back just as much as I like the front. I used the blue patterned print in this wool jacket lining and the corduroy on this doily vest.
What do you think about bows? Cute or not?

  1. love love the back of the pillow!

  2. i love bows! and i love all your little pillows! they look so cute all bunched together, i just want to jump on your bed and take a nap haha :]
