Lots of News With Few Pictures

1. This past weekend was General Conference in my church which is a world-wide conference with talks by our Prophet and leaders. We hung out with my family and were greatly uplifted. It's something I always look forward to.
2. I trimmed my own bangs last week because I wasn't happy with how they were cut. It was a little nerve-wracking. (Any other time I've trimmed my own bangs they were way, way too short.) But, I think I'm always going to cut my own bangs from now on because I really like the result!
3. We chose the University of Utah law school which is about an hour away from where we are now. It's kind of funny because it's the rival of Brigham Young University where we both got our Bachelor's. We'll move up there sometime this summer. We're really happy with our decision and are excited for the change!
4. I feel like I've been missing around here a lot, and it makes me really sad. One reason is the super cute swimsuit line, the other reason is I'm exhausted all the time because I'm expecting! I'm due in October, so I'm almost done with my first trimester. I'm really hoping to get my energy back soon because I have so many ideas that I need to do. And don't worry, this will not turn into a baby/mommy blog. I will do some baby/child items, but my focus on this blog is going to be sewing, sewing/tutorial for beginners, and some home decor thrown in.
5. Lastly, I love these.
My grandmother crocheted them for me. The last ones she made me have huge holes in the bottom from me wearing them CONSTANTLY. They fit so well and are so comfy! What do you like to wear around the house? Socks? Barefeet? Slippers?
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

  6. Congratulations, Heather, for all of your wonderful news!!! I love those slippers too. The last time Omi made some for me, I wore holes in them within three weeks. I need to find a way to put some sort of leather sole on the bottom, because they really are the most comfortable slippers ever!!!
