Patterned Packing Tape and a Chalkboard

Patterned tape is one of the best inventions ever. Seriously.
Last week My brother came to me with the idea of collaging all of his date receipts with his fiance. Can you believe he kept all the receipts from all of their dates? He must really love her. Well I thought and thought about how to make it happen. I was at Joann's and found patterend packing tape. Score! This is what I came up with. (Yes, I know that black tape on a black poster doesn't show up. It looks good besides that!) They are going to display it at their wedding dinner, and then keep it for the memories.
I also used the pattered packing tape around this. My brother-in-law gave me chalkboard paint for Christmas, and I've finally found something to use it on. I had an old thrifted square plate that I sanded and chalkboard painted. Then I painted pale yellow around the edges and put the packing tape over it.
The tape makes it look so professional, don't you think?
I'm going to put it somewhere next to the lemon display. I still have to make a hole in the back of the plate so it can be hung up. And I want to make something to put chalk in.
Chalkboards are great for reminders, grocery lists, and sweet messages.
Hope you have a great day!
