Framed Lemon Tutorial

Yesterday was my last day at the menswear place. I'm going to miss the nice people there, but I'm really excited to switch jobs. Anyway, I added some decor to my kitchen. It's something I've wanted to do since I found the lemon fabric.
I cut out a piece 9 1/2" by 11 1/2".
And the same size out of white fabric.
Then I got a frame, superglue, and a lemon.
It's a fake lemon that I had my brother cut in half. Looks real, eh?
Guess what was inside the styrofoam? Concrete. Who would've thought?
I took the glass out of the frame and laid the two pieces of fabric down.
I laid the glass down on top and pulled the fabric so it didn't have any gaps.
I put the back on.
This is what it looks like from the front.
Then I glued the lemon on where I wanted it.
And put it on the wall. It matches the toaster cover.
I love it. It adds color to the kitchen, and I love that it's 3-D.

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.

  1. you should put that lemonade quote up on it in vinyl! cute!
