Hat-Making Project #2

 I have finished my second project! Yay! It's been a long, stressful project. It took a lot longer than I thought. Here are a couple pictures of the process. I used a wood block shaped like a head and shaped the stiff part inside and the fashion fabric. These are the pleats I was putting into the hat.

It turned out so much better than I expected! I was complaining about it a lot while I was working on it, so my husband is happy that it's done too. I used the same fabric as my coat I made earlier this year. They look so good together!

I ended up putting pleats on boths sides to make the fabric fit the shape.

I'm pretty sure I'll be wearing this hat a lot!

I did a lace band to contrast with the style of the tweed. Do you like it?

I added a fun pleat that goes across the back of my head.
