In my pattern-making class, one of our assignments was to design a skirt. I went all out compared to most girls. Here’s my very bad drawing. It’s a pencil skirt with radiating pleats on the front and back. We didn’t have to make it for class, but I loved mine and decided to make it!

Front (The great this is I got this fabric on sale! $5 for 5 yards. It’s a twill weave with a little shine. I don’t know if the camera picked it up though.)

Back

I have great bare feet.

Non-pleated side. I added a little kick pleat for room to move.

This side reminds me of a sun with rays.

This side reminds me of a fish.

What do you think? Would you wear this? Should I make this pattern available to everyone? The only problem is I don’t know how to grade for different sizes. So it would be a set size. (I’ve tried altering this skirt. It is not fun!)
