Front (The great this is I got this fabric on sale! $5 for 5 yards. It's a twill weave with a little shine. I don't know if the camera picked it up though.)
Pleated side
Back
I have great bare feet.
Non-pleated side. I added a little kick pleat for room to move.
This side reminds me of a sun with rays.
This side reminds me of a fish.
What do you think? Would you wear this? Should I make this pattern available to everyone? The only problem is I don't know how to grade for different sizes. So it would be a set size. (I've tried altering this skirt. It is not fun!)

love it!
ReplyDeletewhere are you taking a pattern making class?
are you in school?
i have been trying to find one forever.
Personally, I would drop that last pleat or possibly the last two. It's throwing off your hemline and fit. It would be cute with just the three pleats at the hips and would fit a whole lot better.
ReplyDeleteI think it is so cute! You did a great job!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I love it, and learning how to make one would be fun. Well done!
ReplyDeleteI really love it! If I had the figure for it, I would make it...though I hope to in a few months!! I think I would make mine a little shorter, but I love the design!
ReplyDeleteSo cute, Heather! I think I might agree with Miranda, but either way is cute. :)
ReplyDeleteI love that skirt!! I want one. That is SO cute!
ReplyDeleteOh I just saw this on crafterhours. I would totally make this skirt if I was still working in an office and not running around the playground with my kids! Sigh. I loved my work clothes. Its a very cute skirt. I wonder if I made it out of jersey.... :) please share :) PS I like it just the way it is.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I saw this in the skirt week pool, I love it! And I'm well impressed that you drafted it yourself!
