Feathers Flights // Sewing Blog: Put Her in a Pumpkin Shell

Put Her in a Pumpkin Shell

This week in my floral design class we made a flower arrangement in a carved out pumpkin. It was so fun and such a great idea! I never would've thought of it myself.
We stuck the lid on a stick and made it part of the design.
My teacher said the trendy Halloween colors are purple and chartreuse so I added to my design.

We got to use really fun flowers like thistles. . .
 Curly willow and cattails . . .
 Preserved leaves . . .
And puffy flowers. (I don't remember what they are called.)
Unfortunately, because the pumpkin will rot and the flowers will die, it can only be enjoyed Halloween week. Too bad it can't last all month! What are some fun things you do Halloween week or day?
