Coffee Table and TV Stand Redo

This is what I did over the weekend. I redid some furniture. This is our tv stand. First it was ugly brown and a little broken. My brother fixed it and painted it black. It looked amazing and fit it really well at the house we're house-sitting. Well we're moving I didn't think it would match anything that I owned. Here's the before, sorry there are pieces of tape on the places that I was going to glue fabric on so I would know where not to paint.

Here's it painted and drying.

The beautiful dark brown fabric.

Next is a coffee table. We got it for $5, but it is really ugly.

I picked it because I just love this detail on the side.

I painted it (no pictures of it), and here is when the glue/fabric is drying. I love this pattern. It's dark brown with light blue details.

The drying furniture friends. I think they look pretty good together.

  1. That's so cool! It looks very turn-of-the-century and luxurious!

  2. You did an awesome job, and I agree with you the fabric definitely gives it a luxurious look! I can't wait to see how the coffee table lookS!

  3. I saw your tweet about your entertainment center on Craigslist the other week. That same week, we were looking for one on Craigslist, too! We eventually stopped looking because we decided to keep our old one.

I like the vintage furniture, though. A little touch of creativity will liven it up! Good finds!
